 KITEBUD - KITESURFING LESSONS PERTH

Learn to Kitesurf

Too many kitesurfing schools to choose from?

What if I told you that:

''Finding the best kitesurfing lessons has little to do with the
school you pick... It's about finding the right instructor''
Did you also know that in most kitesurfing classes
Students show up without any preparation

and without knowing who their kitesurfing instructor will be

Learn to Kitesurf – FAQ’S

When is the school open?

Once the season starts (first or second week of October) the school is open 7 days a week!  The school usually closes on the last week of April or as soon as the winds start to be too unreliable.

What are the lesson times/Schedule?

Most KiteBud lessons are delivered in 2H blocks, however some lessons are 1H in duration. Below is an example of our usual lessons schedule. Please note that this schedule may change depending on wind conditions, sunset times, etc. We may also be able to customize lesson duration depending on how busy we are.

Where do the lessons take place?

All lessons take place at Pinnaroo Point in Hillarys (Perth Northern Suburbs). Park your vehicle in the main car park and walk passed the gate at the end of John Wilkie Tarn. Once on the  beach, take a left and walk 200 meters South where you will find the KiteBud Windsock.

How many lessons do I need ?

KiteBud recommends to most students to book 6 Hours of lesson  or  8 Hours of lesson to ensure you have enough time to practice getting up on the board. Please note that for some students 6 Hours might not be enough as each person learns at a difference pace. Your learning pace will depend mostly on your background in other sports, your kite control skills and whether you watched the KiteBud videos tutorials or not. Please note that if you are starting from scratch, a 2 Hour or 4 hour lesson will most likely NOT be enough to get you up on the board.

How do I book a lesson? How much do lessons cost?

Book your Lessons directly from our  shop: Airborne Kitesurfing.  4/11 Howe St, Osborne Park WA 6017  (08) 9244 4474. Airborne Kitesurfing accepts Cash, EFTPOS and Credit Card. You can also visit their Website

Book lessons online with Kitebud – Kite surfing Lessons Perth, Simply head to the bookings page and choose your lesson product. Add it to your cart and checkout, it’s that simple! KiteBud accepts PayPal, Credit Card and Direct Bank Transfers.  If you have any difficulties with your booking please contact us

All lessons must be prepaid and pre-booked, sorry but we can’t make any exceptions.

As soon as you finish your transaction, KiteBud will contact you to lock in your first lesson on our Calendar. Be sure to fill in our Online Medical/Waiver form so you can save some time at the beach and get straight into it!

After Booking, Please be sure to check your Email for further instructions. Please check your SPAM/JUNK folder in case you don’t see your email confirmation in your Inbox.

How early do I need to show up before the lesson starts?

KiteBud recommends you show up 20 minutes before each lesson start. Unlike in other schools, KiteBud doesn’t like to charge you to get your equipment ready. We like to take those 20 minutes to have a chat and prepare your equipment without rushing.

What is your cancellation/refund policy?

Unfortunately, KiteBud doesn’t offer refunds if you simply change your mind. However, unused lesson hours can be transferred to another person or used in the next season. You cannot make changes to your booking less than 24 hours before lesson start.  If you wish to reschedule your lesson, please contact us as soon as possible.

How do I know if the lesson is confirmed or canceled?

KiteBud will contact you either by SMS or PHONE in the morning of the day of your lesson to confirm the wind conditions are appropriate. Cancellations sometimes occur due to unreliable/unsafe conditions. Please note that winds at the start of the season (October) and at the end of the season (April) are usually less reliable.

If your lesson gets canceled we will immediately contact you to re-book it ASAP.

Do lessons include equipment?

They sure do! Each student will be provided with a harness, kite, life vest,  Bluetooth radio helmet, board, etc. We will even provide COLD water, sunscreen and a wetsuit in case you get cold. Simply arrive dressed to enter the water and KiteBud will take care of the rest!

How do I get access to the Free videos and the Online Program?

Once  you complete your transaction, KiteBud will email you your own credentials to Login directly from our Website. Once you are logged in you will have immediate access to our Online Program and Videos.

Watching those video tutorials will make a massive difference in the speed of your progression, especially during your first 4 hours of lessons, so we strongly recommend you spend all the time you need to cover this information BEFORE the lessons.

I’ve already had lessons with another school but I need help to ride the board, what lesson should I book?

If this is the case, we strongly recommend you book a 2 Hour One-On-One lesson instead of a 1 Hour private coaching lesson. Your instructor will need some time to assess your skills and knowledge first. Before we teach you how to ride, you will be asked to demonstrate deep water skills such as a self-rescue, board recovery, water relaunch, etc.

I’m not sure if this is for me, what’s the best way to give it a try?

Come see us for a Happy Hour $50.00 Lesson!  In this lesson we will give you as much flying time as possible on a REAL Kite so you can have as much fun as possible and get real sensations. We will even send you 2 Free video tutorials!
